Key Lime Pie

First time I tasted Key Lime Pie, I felt like I had died and gone to heaven. My sister bribed me to paint her sons room with the pie! (I would have done it anyway but the pie was a great incentive!) So when LIME was the theme announced, it was a no brainer to use as my card.
I fused a cream and light brown fabric onto the peltex for the pie crust, a lime green batik fabric for the pie and a hand dyed pink and purple for the background. The lime is made from a rainbow cellophane wrap from a flower arrangement, fused to green netting. I traced circles and free motion quilted a slice of lime. I had to quarter them to fit and sewed them onto the cards in a darker green for contrast. The whipped cream is another standby favorite material - white puffy paint! Enjoy!
